The atomic bomb made no distinction. It brought death to both adults and children. Included were farmers working in the fields, students digging air-raid shelters, and mothers preparing lunch for their family.
People who narrowly escaped death found spread before them, an unbelievable scene. What on earth happened to us? Where did that beautiful Nagasaki disappear to?
It is said that Nagasaki was darkened by clouds after the explosion of the atomic bomb. This corner reproduces the tragic scenes which spread in Nagasaki at that time and exhibits the actual materials mercilessly destroyed at that time.
